| Home spun linen sheet and pillow case. Fax was raised and linen thread was spun and woven by the Alden Family. It was then made in bed linens for Eliza Jaane Alden at the time of her marriage to Ira B. Knox January 6, 1847 in Broome County, New York. After the death of Ira, Eliza Jane was married to James Chaffee. Eliza Jane was the 7th generation from John and Priscilla Alden and the grandmother of Eula Alden Leslie McCollister. Note this information was found in the black book called S.E. Ledger page 16. |
