Description The Alden Family sherred the sheep and the wool was carded, spun and dyed by the family. This was in the 1847 era. Elize Knox was a great grandmother of Bernice LeslieThis was in the 1847 in Broome Co. New York. After the death of Ira, Eliza Jane was married to James Chaffee. Eliza Jane was the 7th generation from John Alden and Priscilla Mullins who came to America on the May flower and were married in 1622 at Plymouth, Mass. Eliza Jane Alden Knox was the great grandmother of Bernice Leslie Nelson. This banket was brought to Kansas by covered wagon by Ell en Mary Knox Heath, mother of Mrs U. G. Leslie and grandmother of Bernice Leslie Nelson.
