Description
|
| A lace loom, made in Germany, over 110 years ago, between 1860 and 1870. Brought to Alva, Oklahoma by the grandmother the grand-daughter of the original owner. It was used to make lace and insertion. There are 32 shuttles wrapped with linen thread. Two pieces of lace, made on it, are with it. The roller and platform are covered with an olive green ribbed material. Part, if the platform is filled with straw and mounded for the shuttles to rest on. The roller is racheted, and sets between shaped uprights. Mrs. Sol Bouziden is the mother of David Bouziden of Ashland. |
